[1] Use tiles from 1 to 6 (3, 4, 5, 6, 1, 2), and each player is dealt 12 tiles.
In this situation, each player knows which tiles the opponent holds in hand, which may reduce the pleasure of the game.
However, since it is not possible to know when and how the opponent would use those tiles, you can still play the game.
 
[2] Use tiles from 1 to 9 (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 1, 2), and each player is dealt 13 tiles.
Place the rest of the tiles in the middle of the table, facedown and unused.
Since the "cloud 3" tile might get included in the unused pile, the player who holds the weakest tile becomes the "Lead" and starts the game.
( cloud 3 -> Star 3 -> Moon 3 -> Sun 3 -> ··· )
In this situation, it may become a game of luck because the players play the game without knowing which tiles are being used in each round.

Since LEXIO is a strategy game, we did not include these 2-player rules in our previous official manuals because of some points stated above.
But actually, many people use these rules to enjoy LEXIO in their own way as well.

For sure, if you find 2-player rules are fun, the 3~5-player rules will be a lot more fun :)
